Shop Policies

Current Rabies Vaccination Certificate

Provided prior to booking an appointment

Pursuant to WAC 243-100-197 and in accordance with state, county and city laws, proof of a current rabies vaccination is required prior to booking services at Calming Nature Pet Grooming, LLC.  

Exceptions will be made for pets that have received a strong titer within the past 6 months and do not have a history that could put a handler at risk of being bitten or a pet that has a medical exemption through the state of Washington and also does not have a history that could put a handler at risk of being bitten.  Documentation by a licensed veterinarian and/or the state of Washington is required as proof of testing or exemption.  The owner must remain on the premises of Calming Nature Pet Grooming, LLC to take responsibility in the event of an incident involving the pet.  These exceptions will be made on a case by case basis, groomed after hours, at the convenience of the groomer, when there are no other pets or individuals in the shop and will involve an additional fee for grooming an unvaccinated pet which is high risk.

No Shows/Short Notice Cancellation Policy (Less than 24 hours notice)

Single Pets


First Time Client - $25.00 Fee prior to rebooking or exercise our right to refuse to provide service


Established Client – First No Show/Short Notice Cancellation

We have a one time foregiveness policy


Second No Show and/or Short Notice Cancellation

$25.00 Fee prior to rebooking


Forth No Show and/or Short Notice Cancellation

Non-refundable deposit on appointments if recurring or pay for missed appointments prior to rescheduling or exercise our right to refuse to provide service


Deposits will be for the next three appointments


No Show/Short Notice Cancellation are noted for one year from last no show or short notice cancellation


Multiple Pets


First Time Client – We will exercise our right to refuse to provide service


Established Client – First No Show/Short Notice Cancellation

Late Arrivals

For an appointment

We want our customers to be happy with their pet's service; all of them.  As a private, by appointment grooming service provider, our schedule is tailored for each pet that is being groomed in our shop that day.  If you are late for your pet's appointment, we may not have an adequate amount of time to complete your pet's service.  Pets that are receiving services both before and after your pet have been scheduled to fit their needs as well.  We do not take time from our clients to accommodate others.  We do understand that there are other grooming service options out there but it is important that we ensure we are equally caring for all of our clients.

Online Booking

For our tech savvy clients

Our online booking is available for individuals that can manage booking online without tech support from our staff.  This option is available as a convenience but we will ban clients that are not using the service for it's intended purpose or refuse to comply with our policies.
